First Gold is a World Champion Beer!

At the recent prestigious Brewing Industry International Awards, known as the Brewing Oscars, Badger First Gold won Double Gold! Badger First Gold won Gold for best in category (International Bottled Ale between 2.5 % ABV and 4.3% ABV) as well as being voted overall "Champion Beer" of the category.

The judges said, "Badger First Gold is something special, it is a great bottled beer, which really outshone the competition."

It has taken two years to develop Badger First Gold and this prestigious award shows that all the hard work has definitely paid off; and we know we have got a great Beer in Badger First Gold.

Our Head Brewer has worked hard over the last couple of years developing Badger First Gold, and he said about the award, "Winning a double gold medal at the Brewing Industry International Awards in Munich is about as high an accolade as a beer can get as the competition is judged by a select panel of beer experts from all over the world. Badger First Gold is a classic golden brown country ale, which is brewed with a Single English Hop. With a 4% ABV this session ale has a pronounced floral hop aroma tempered with an underlying roasted malt character. The rich citrus fruitiness of orange zest and dried apricots balances with the hop and malt notes to give a clean, fresh and slightly spicy flavour.
